Kara-Tur Anew by Markustay Kara-Tur Anew by Markustay
Was just tinkering with some ideas for the 5th edition forgotten realms. By turning the quoya desert into a (huge) lake, I managed to give the Shou a presence on the Inner sea (via Semphar & Brightsar Lake). Since I lost all my original maps, I had to paste a few together that I had up here at DeviantART, which is why some of the map has very bad resolution.

I love how this is coming along! Shou Needed more of a presence on the Inner sea trade.

That is a great map!

Sorry to read about your fire; hope you are ok.

My house burned to the ground. I had back-ups, both on disc and on another computer, but all of it was in the same house. I have been getting some of them back from folks who downloaded some of them - I just wish I hadn't gotten into the habit of taken some down every once in awhile, else they'd all still be here. I can also thank Internet pirates - I find copies of my maps all over the world on FR fan-sites (which is great). Also lost my brand new copy of Creative suite, which really sucks - using GIMP now. I am currently working on a new version of the FR campaign map, taking the 3e textures/terrain and applying them to the old 1e/2e geographic layout. Hopefully I will have a WIP of that up in a day or so.

Do you need a hand tracking down copies of your maps Markustay? Perhaps you could make a wishlist somewhere and Forgotten Realms fans could look to see if they have copies. I'm sure The Piazza would be happy to help ask FR fans to look for your maps. And I bet Candlekeep would do the same.

If you have some sort of proof of purchase for Creative Suite (assuming your paperwork didn't all get destroyed in the fire) maybe you could contact Adobe's customer services people to see if they will sort you out with a replacement.

How did you lose all of your originals?
